2007 Rogers 46

Alameda, California

$399,000

Simon Rogers aimed at filling the gap between production performance 40 footers and high performance 50 footers and has admirably achieved that with the Rogers 46 design.

The Rogers 46 is quick and well balanced - a pure race boat which will delight but test the appreciative, experienced owner who has moved through the spectrum of cruiser-racers but with the characteristics of a TP52 at half the price.

Similar in layout to the TP52, the transom is wide open, the mainsheet traveler is aft and the twin wheels have been pushed forward to keep crew weight out of the stern. Runner winches are the only gear aft of the traveler. And downwind in a breeze, when you need to get the weight aft, there is plenty of room in the back of this bus for the crew to congregate.

A true high performance racer built by Composite Marine International (CMI) in Thailand, she is built entirely of carbon/foam/epoxy exhibiting outstanding quality. With an SA/D of 32.43 and D/L of 82.07, she is a power house - both on and off the wind with smooth performance across wind ranges.

Acquired in 2021 by a veteran offshore racer who was the previous owner of an SC52 of the same name, the Rogers 46 offered a big fun factor and blazing speed for the Transpac and PacCup races but with a greatly simplified logistics package. Lucky Duck took second (to another Rogers 46) in her division in his last Transpac of 2021. She is in top racing condition and well optimized with great attention to detail and is ideally suited to West Coast offshore racing, both coastal and trans-ocean. She is turn key and ready to go!
